Seacoast Writers AssociationThe mission of the Seacoast Writers Association is to provide support for writers in the form of two annual writers conferences, a writers contest, and a quarterly newsletter which includes a calendar of writer-related activities. Every three years SWA publishes Currents, an anthology of the winners for three years of the Seacoast Writers annual writing contest. Annual Fall Writers ConferenceThe Seacoast Writers Association Annual Fall Writers Conference will take place this year on October 17, 2009, at the McConnell Center in Dover, NH. Writing workshops include Poetry: Private Voice and Public Concern, with Walter Butts and S. Stephanie; Unruly Fictions with Tim Horvath; Write, Publish and Be Known, with Deidre Randall; and Creative Nonfiction Workshop with Sue Wheeler. MembershipMembership dues for the Seacoast Writers Association are $20 a year. Membership entitles you to a discount on both the annual conferences and on entries to the annual writing contest. You will receive the quarterly newsletter, which contains news on SWA activities and a calendar of writing-related activities in the tri-state seacoast area: southern Maine, New Hampshire, and northern Massachusetts.
